Sprint Waste Wins ‘Best of the Best’ for Safety

Sprint Waste Services has been recognized by the Houston Business Roundtable for outstanding safety performance, winning best-in-class honors for our work at ExxonMobil’s refinery and petrochemical facility in Baytown, Texas. This marks the third consecutive year ExxonMobil has nominated and Sprint Waste has been honored with this prestigious award.

The announcement came May 15 during the 28th Annual HBR Contractor Safety Excellence Awards at Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. More than 1,400 industry representatives of both owner and contractor companies attended the banquet, hosted by the HBR and the Houston Area Safety Council.

Of the 76 companies recognized for exemplary safety performance, only 14 were named best in their categories. Sprint Waste won in the Specialty Contractor—Technical Support Large category.

“At Sprint Waste Services, we know safety is a job that’s never done, so we work extremely hard to make sure we are constantly learning and improving in this essential area of our business,” Sprint Waste Services owner and President Will Swinbank said.

“This important award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team on the ground at the Baytown facility. We’re grateful to ExxonMobil for nominating us and very humbled to be acknowledged with so many leading companies in the category.”
