Sprint Provides Cool School Planners for Middle Schoolers

“If you fail to plan, you might be planning to fail. ”As another new school year begins, middle school students in our area will learn this and other essential life lessons—and get the planning tools they need—thanks to a donation from Sprint Waste Services.

Sugar Land Middle School students will receive unique student planners that teach life-long organization and planning skills while boosting self-esteem and reinforcing healthy lifestyle choices.

Will Swinbank, Sprint Waste co-founder and partner, said the decision to support this project was an easy one since the goals of the program align so well with Sprint’s values. “When we were first approached about this need, we thought this was a cool program that stressed the values of hard work and personal responsibility we emphasize for our team every day,” Swinbank said. “These all-in-one planning tools teach lessons everyone needs to succeed—in school and in business. We hope the planners will make a big difference for these middle schoolers for years to come.”

According to Coole School, the company behind these innovative learning products, the planners are a research-based, peer-reviewed character education program housed within a student day planner. Coole School planners keep students on track with their assignments and activities, as they help to build self-esteem and include healthy lifestyle, tobacco and substance prevention messages. Since the messages are delivered via age-appropriate, interactive games, puzzles, cartoons and thought-provoking articles, they appeal to the students.

The planners can be tailored to each school by adding school colors, mascots and bell schedules. For more information about these cool planning tools, click here.
