Sprint Montgomery County Landfill Open for Business

The Sprint Montgomery County Landfill is open for business! Located at 17851 Hwy 105 E in Conroe, Texas, the construction and demolition landfill serves customers throughout Conroe, The Woodlands, north Houston, and beyond.

With approximately 200 acres of land permitted to accept construction debris, the Sprint Montgomery County Landfill has an estimated 100 years of useful life and will play a critical role in facilitating the explosive population growth of Montgomery and Liberty Counties for generations to come.

The opening follows approximately two years of construction and more than a decade of design and permitting. The recently completed construction consists of the first 20 acres of landfill cell, along with a private entrance road, scalehouse building and large stormwater pond, with more than $2.7 million in contracts completed by local Montgomery and Liberty County businesses. The property expands Sprint Waste’s landfill and recycling operations beyond the existing Fort Bend County Landfill and Port Arthur and Houston recycling facilities to bring the total number of Sprint Waste locations to 14.

“We are thrilled to open our gates to businesses and citizens of Montgomery County and the surrounding areas,” says Reagan Swinbank, Sprint Waste Services partner. “As a family-owned and -operated business with decades of experience in the waste services industry, we always strive to be good corporate citizens and neighbors, not only by going the extra mile in safety and environmental compliance, but also by giving back to the communities where we operate. This landfill will play a major role in the planned economic expansion of the area, and we’re excited to be a part of it.”

The landfill is permitted to accept only inert, discarded construction, demolition and landscaping materials such as roofing scraps, plastics, wood, brush, bricks, concrete, old furniture and appliances. Residential and household garbage is not accepted at this landfill.

In addition to safe landfill space for commercial customers and the public, Swinbank says, the Conroe location will also serve as a transportation hub to service Sprint Waste customers to the north of greater Houston and provide needed rental services to area businesses.

Waste is accepted at the landfill 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. For more information on the Sprint Montgomery County Landfill operations or hours, call 936.207.1100 or visit https://www.sprintwaste.com/montgomery-county-landfill.
