It’s County Fair Time for the Sprint Cookers!

The Sprint Waste Services team is known for its tireless work ethic, innovative ideas and extreme hustle, but can our guys cook? We’re about to see! The Sprint Cookers will put their culinary reputations on the line April 7–8 at the 60th Montgomery County Fair Bud Light BBQ Cook-Off.

The Sprint Cookers will share a booth with Conroe-based Quality Insulation & Roofing, whose BBQ comp team is a regular participant in the competition. Our own Mike Sharp leads Sprint’s team and says he looks forward to putting some competitive BBQ in front of the judges—and to the fun, food and live entertainment this annual event is known for.

“Sprint Waste Services is thrilled to be involved at the Montgomery County Fair this year and we look forward to a fun-filled few days,” said Sprint Waste Services account manager Mike Sharp. “Thanks to our friends at Quality Insulation for sharing the space with us and working with us to make this such a successful event for everyone.”

Local country music favorite Jason Cassidy will play from the booth Saturday evening. Born in Houston and raised in New Caney, Cassidy has numerous chart-topping Texas hits to his credit. His most release album “717” received rave critical reviews and debuted at #12 on the iTunes country charts.

The Bud Light BBQ Cook-Off hours are Friday at 2 p.m. to midnight and Saturday 8 a.m. to midnight. Click here for more information about the 60th Montgomery County Fair and here for the cook-off’s schedule of events.
