Former All-American Headlines Sprint-Sponsored Event

Sprint Waste Services is proud to sponsor the Southwest Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes Victory Celebration and dinner tonight at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 13223 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478. Doors open at 6 with the dinner beginning at 6:30.

The business-casual event is an annual fundraiser for the Southwest Houston FCA, an organization that uses athletics and sports as a platform to reach students with messages of faith, integrity, serving, teamwork and excellence. Students and coaches at all levels of the game participate in FCA events on school, college and university campuses, as well as camps and community events.

Baylor All-American quarterback Neal Jeffrey will be the featured speaker. Jeffrey was at the helm for one of the most famous games in Baylor history—the “Miracle on the Brazos” in 1974—in which the Bears came back from a large deficit to beat the University of Texas 34-24. Drafted into the NFL by the San Diego Chargers, he followed his football career into the ministry after entering the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has been on staff at Prestonwood Baptist Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for more than 30 years. He is a popular motivational speaker throughout the country.
