Careers on Wheels Day at Area School

At Sprint Waste Services, we’re proud of our team and our trucks, and we had the opportunity to showcase both this week when we participated in a local elementary school’s career day.

Careers on Wheels Day at Stuchbery Elementary School, a Pasadena ISD school located in southeast Houston, introduces students to a variety of mobile careers and helps them connect learning with practical applications in the work world. The event brings together parents, community resources and businesses to educate children about different kinds of jobs in the workplace while encouraging students to “choose a job that suits them.”

Our own Reagan Swinbank, co-founder and partner, and Josh Wilson (pictured), safety manager, were on hand to interact with the students, showcase our vehicle, and talk about the different career opportunities we have at Sprint to drive or service our fleet of more than 300 commercial vehicles.

As usual, our truck was a huge hit with the children. “We love the excitement on the faces of these kids as they see these impressive vehicles up close and get a chance to be behind the wheel,” Swinbank said. “Thanks to the staff and parents of Stuchbery Elementary for putting on a great career day and allowing Sprint Waste Services to be a part of it.”
